Studio Oak

Studio Oak is a Vancouver based interior design business focusing on the design and development of mountain homes and ski lodges throughout British Columbia. Studio Oak designs interior spaces for the varied functionality of mountain living, while ensuring the unique view lines and daylight exposures of a particular property will be enjoyed by its inhabitants. The design process then considers the interplay of classic with modern, committing to clean lines and uncluttered spaces, while selecting appropriate materials, colours and furnishings. Studio Oak has also designed interiors in urban environments of Vancouver and Hong Kong.

Studio Oak has developed properties for its own portfolio (Vancouver, Whistler and Revelstoke) and has worked on behalf of third party clients. References can be provided upon request.

Rochelle Sneddon is the creative force behind Studio Oak. Rochelle grew up in Ontario, moving to BC to attend the University of British Columbia, graduating with a double major in Art History and Urban Geography. After graduating from UBC, she attended the Philadelphia Institute of Art and then Parson’s School of Design where she studied Interior Design. Returning to Vancouver 5 years ago after a decade each in Australia and Hong Kong, she established Studio Oak and developed the design principles that guide her work. She adores the west coast lifestyle and enjoys spending time working and playing in the mountains. Designing mountain homes provides her with the unique opportunity to combine her understanding of how interior spaces should function to accommodate mountain activities, with her passion for modern design.
